Does acupuncture hurt?
Pain is individual, so I will not be the judge of what you feel, but I would personally not describe acupuncture as a painful treatment. It is a “different” feeling. The needle is extremely thin and does not hurt the same way as a regular injection. The sensation varies between a deep feeling, a tingling sensation, a radiating feeling, or nothing at all. Children of all ages as well as animals tolerate acupuncture without problems. Keeping calm can affect how much you feel so, be vocal about your concern if you have one and I will do my best to help to make you feel at ease.
Is acupuncture only used for relief of muscle/skeletal pains and aches?
Nope! Acupuncture has a wide span of applications. Musculoskeletal solutions (tendonitis, joint pain, and sports injuries) is only the beginning of what acupuncture can do.
